I have a doctoral degree in human development and family, with an emphasis on maternal child health. I am also a [currently] non practicing mental health professional. I am a faculty member at a local university. I am a certified doula and childbirth educator. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. I am an activist. I believe that when it comes to pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood change is not just a nice idea, it’s a necessity in the United States. I am passionate about bringing that change about.
I recognize that some of you super sleuths may be able to determine who I am. I ask that you please respect my desire to publish anonymously (for now) on this blog and not out me to the world. Thank you.
Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy my content. I also hope that at times I will challenge you, and you may wrestle with something new. I hope you will be willing to accept the uneasy feelings this may, at times, bring. Most of all, I hope you feel that you grow (in many ways) throughout that time you’re reading and interacting with this site.
All my love and best wishes,
